NHL/NHLPA Talks Resume

TSN is reporting that the NHL talks have resumed. The meeting began at 11 AM in Toronto. Bettman had announced that the season would be cancelled if there was no deal this weekend.

If an agreement can be reached, the season would be a 28 game season. It would start later this month and kickoff with conference rivals playing a home-and-home series.

This is obviously a last ditch effort on both sides to get things going. ESPN.com's Scott Burnside has a good analysis on Bettman's negotiation methods. He raises valid points. Maybe it could work.
