It appears that Carlpalooza will not be landing in Detroit. Ken Rosenthal of The Sporting News is reporting that Carl Pavano has instructed agent Scott Shapiro to work out a four year, $40 million deal with the New York Yankees.

This is definitely a let down to Detroit and it's fans. A solid ace in the pitching rotation is one of the major keys for this off season, and Pavano would have been the best candidate.

Look for the Tigers to turn their attention to Derek Lower, or Matt Clement.
