The Pistons Can Finally Work In Darko

"I think he's really trying, and from what I've seen, he's looking like he belongs out there for the first time..." -- Coach Larry Brown

I was reading thru the sports section of the Detroit News today, and came across an article by Joanne C. Gerstner talking about Darko's progress. I've noticed that Darko has been on the court more the last week. It seemed to all start against Charlotte in Detroit. Ben Wallace was serving a six game suspension, and the team was in foul trouble. Short on options, Darko came off the bench, and started to make a contribution. Darko, at one point, stole the ball, ran down the court, and dunked it. The Palace erupted.

Seems that he's finally feeling some confidence on the floor. Saturday night against the Hornets, he was able to log some early minutes, grab himself a basket, a block, and a rebound. He shot 1-5, but considering how much playing time he's actually seen, I'm sure that his shooting will improve with more playing time. I'm not getting overly excited, but right now he looks like he could be a regular contributor off the bench next season.
